Jaffrey Civic Center seeking vendors
for Summer Market

The Jaffrey Civic Center is excited to open its new summer market "The Farmer and the Flea" on Saturdays from 9am to 1pm beginning Saturday, June 17th through October 14th. The farmer's market component of the event will include traditional agricultural produce in addition to handmade crafts and food. There will also be flea market items for sale.

A community-wide event, the Jaffrey Public Library will partner with the Jaffrey Civic Center throughout the summer season providing crafts and outdoor story time. In addition to our vendors, the Villa Pony Farm will be there to offer pony rides for the kids and Project Shakespeare will be around for the occasional sword fight. Please join us on the front lawn to celebrate summer.

We are still accepting vendors. Day rates of $20, half-season of $50 and full season rates of $100. We are centrally located on Main Street in the scenic town of Jaffrey and our spacious lawn can offer high visibility to visitors and residents alike. EXPANDED HOURS FOR COFFEE, QUILTS, AND CRAFTS

Our new monthly gathering for quilters and crafters and anyone who wishes to try out a new handicraft is expanding its hours to 9 a.m. to noon on the second Thursday of the month. Join friends and neighbors for a drop-in morning of working creatively in the Civic Center's sun-filled Auditorium Gallery. Bring your own project along with the needed supplies, tools/machines. Enjoy coffee, tea and light refreshments on us in a congenial social settling surrounded by our fine art exhibits while working on your quilt or craft project such as needle, fabric and paper arts, scrap-booking, basket-making, beading, carving/whittling etc. We will also offer featured crafts with experienced instructors.

Our May meeting will feature fine hand-crafted greeting cards for Mother's Day. If you don't have a project of your own you wish to work on, try out this fun and rewarding craft to make a unique card for someone special. Supplies provided; a small donation to help cover their cost is appreciated but optional.

Additionally, we will have a demonstration of beautiful fabric wreaths for summer and fall. Material and supply lists will be handed out, and a workshop with experienced instructors will be offered at our June 8 meeting.
