Welcome to the fourth Heart of the Arts Gala Auction to benefit the Jaffrey Civic Center!

The Jaffrey Civic Center is thrilled to announce our fourth annual Heart of the Arts Gala Art Auction on

Saturday, May 10, 6:30 pm.

This semi formal ticketed event is a wonderful opportunity for people to get dressed up and enjoy a night out while supporting local arts and culture.

Come and meet the artists at our free, open to the public, artist reception on Saturday, May 3,  5 – 6:30 pm.

Our promotional art piece was done by Chris Myott, a NH-based artist that combines tools, plants, figures, and abstract forms into oil paintings using a palette knife and other implements to manipulate and draw through the surface of the paint. He employs finishing techniques learned as a furniture maker to highlight textural elements that resemble the patina of age. The process creates a spontaneity akin to handwriting.

Artists from the region generously contributed over 90 pieces to the auction. Artists receive a portion of the proceeds from the sale of their art, with the rest going to support the Civic Center.

The highlight of the evening will be the live auction, during which a select portion of the works of art will be auctioned off by Nick Prior & Molly Williams from Peterborough Auctions.

In addition to the May 10th juried live auction, there will be an on-line GalaBid auction (link will be provided), which will entertain open bidding for two weeks starting May 3rd through May 16th  All art won from both events must be picked up at the Jaffrey Civic Center.

Foray Event Catering will be returning with a collection of delicious hors d’oeuvres and desserts, and guests will enjoy wine, tasty treats, and conversation while browsing the artwork and deciding which pieces to bid on.

This year, the event will help support operations while the Civic Center is undergoing a two-year facility improvement project.
We are grateful to Belletetes and Microspect for returning as Platinum sponsors, as well as Atlas Fireworks, The Keene Sentinel, and Savings Bank of Walpole as our Silver sponsors. Thank you to the Monadnock-Ledger Transcript for being our marketing sponsor.

This event would not be possible without their generosity.
