NH Art Association Exhibition at Jaffrey Civic Center

JAFFREY – The New Hampshire Art Association has partnered with the Jaffrey Civic Center to exhibit and sell its members’ works in the Center’s Cunningham Gallery.

The show will run Sept. 11 through Oct. 14, with an opening reception on Saturday, Sept. 14, from 5 to 7 p.m.

The New Hampshire Art Association, based in Portsmouth, is the oldest statewide art association in New Hampshire. Founded in 1940, it is one of the oldest associations in the country.

NHAA consists of approximately 300 visual artists who are painters, printmakers, photographers, mixed media artists, and sculptors.

This association has a rich history and is thriving with active artists. The Board of Directors is poised and dedicated to providing longevity and vision.

NHAA’s mission is to connect visual artists with the public through ongoing exhibits and educational activities that encourage appreciation for contemporary culture, foster creativity, and enhance community spirit.

The Jaffrey Civic Center is a designated non-profit cultural facility, which first opened its doors in April 1966. It was funded and built by Jaffrey native and teacher, Marion Mack Johnson, a dedicated public servant, who wanted to make sure that all residents in the Monadnock region had access to cultural events.

The mission of the Jaffrey Civic Center is to provide and sustain a public venue where citizens, residents and visitors of the Monadnock region can pursue artistic, educational and civic activities. The Center’s goal is to contribute to the cultural enrichment and enlightenment of the community.
