Annual Fall Show

The Jaffrey Civic Center is very excited to present our Annual Fall Show. This exhibition will run September 26– November 1. There will be an opening reception on Friday, September 26 from 5 – 7 pm with light refreshments, drinks, and a chance to meet and converse with the artists!

This exhibition gathers diverse artistic voices, each offering a unique interpretation of impermanence. Some works may capture the delicate beauty of nature’s transitions, while others may explore the metaphorical “seasons” of human life—moments of growth, change, loss, and renewal. Together, these interpretations remind us that impermanence is both inevitable and essential: it is what gives meaning to beauty, poignancy to memory, and vitality to the present moment. Visitors are encouraged to look closely and consider how each piece connects to the theme, discovering their own interpretations along the way.

The theme ‘Interpretations of a Season’s Impermanence’ invites artists and viewers to reflect on the fleeting, ever-changing nature of time. Just as the seasons move in cycles—blossoms give way to fruit, leaves turn and fall, snow melts into spring—our own experiences, emotions, and perspectives shift and transform.
