Jaffrey, NH — The Jaffrey Civic Center is pleased to present Form & Color, an exhibition of non-objective abstract paintings by artist Bessann Triplett, on view from June 12 through July 25. An opening reception will be held on Friday, June 12, from 5 to 7 PM, offering visitors an opportunity to meet the artist and experience the work in person, along with light refreshments.
A bit from the artist: My paintings are non-objective, abstract works built through color, line, and form to activate the picture plane. I’ve always been drawn to the expressive possibilities of color, shape, and material. After a thirty-year career running a hand-weaving studio, I turned to painting to pursue a long-held desire to work with paint and mixed media. As a lifelong observer of art, world cultures, and the natural environment, I translate these influences into visual language—creating paintings that reflect an ongoing exploration of perception, memory, and experience.
The Jaffrey Civic Center is free and open to the public during regular gallery hours: Wednesday through Friday, 12:00 to 5:00 PM, and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
