Speak the Speech – come and support Project Shakespeare
Project Shakespeare celebrates 32 years of “transforming students’ lives through theatre education.” Project Shakespeare presents Speak the Speech – Short Shakespeare plays, monologues and scenes. Performances are at the Jaffrey Civic Center, 40 Main Street, Jaffrey. Admission is free; donations are gladly accepted at the door.
Speak the Speech offers students a deep dive into Shakespeare’s text learning how to use Shakespeare’s language to illuminate the human condition that is the focus of Shakespeare’s stories. This year’s production includes two short-Shakespeare plays – Romeo & Juliet and As You Like It, as well as scenes from King John and Much Ado About Nothing. Associate Directors Benjamin Michaud and Lif Petrova will direct; Tess Geana will stage manager. Lif will also choreograph.
